BRIDGE REPAIR THRIVE
Hey there! Welcome to Intentional Practice Counseling, LLC. I'm so glad you've found your way here. Let's talk about how we can bridge the gap between where you are and where you want to be - because, trust me, that journey is totally possible.
Addiction? Yeah, it's a family affair. It doesn't just affect one person; it ripples through the whole family system. That's why you - the family and loved ones of those experiencing addiction - need guidance in navigating the dynamics addiction creates.
Understanding addictions effects, what to expect from treatment and recovery, and how crucial family support is (for both you and your addicted loved one!) is just the first step on your healing journey. Learning how to build your support system, developing healthy coping strategies, and kicking shame and isolation to the curb is where the rubber meets the road.
Ready to take that first step? Let's do this together. Your journey to healing and empowerment starts here!
Healing starts with you: Why therapy matters when a loved one is addicted.
Therapy gives you the tools and skills to develop healthy boundaries when the chaos of addiction and manipulative relationships force you to abandon your values.
Therapy can boost your confidence to build on your already existing communication skills and develop healthy coping strategies that actually work!
Therapy can help break those trauma bonds, rebuild your self-esteem, and establish healthy relationship patterns so there's no more settling!
In therapy, you'll be able to process all those complicated feelings and cultivate self-compassion even if your loved one isn't quite ready for change! You deserve loving-kindness too!
Great question! I specialize in helping:
*Families and partners of folks with substance/alcohol use disorders
*Adult children of alcoholics/addicts (that stuff sticks with you)
*Individuals in recovery looking to level up their relationships
*Survivors of narcissistic abuse and other toxic relationship patterns
*Couples looking to heal from addiction-related wounds
*Individuals seeking to recover from trauma and lead a more fulfilling life
*Couples and individuals looking for deeper self-exploration
Absolutely! If you're ready to break free from destructive cycles, heal old wounds, and create healthier relationship patterns, therapy is a great place to start!
Sessions are 50 minutes and my cash rates are as follows:
Individuals:
$150
Couples:
$150
I sure do! I'm paneled with several carriers, including:
*Aetna
*BCBS
*EMI
*Evernorth
*PEHP
*Select Health

*Some carriers do not cover couples therapy so be sure to verify this coverage with your carrier.
I use a Systemic, Attachment-Focused approach. That means we'll look at how family dynamics, generational patterns, and attachment styles play into what you're experiencing. We're going for root-cause here, not just surface-level stuff. I'm also EMDR Certified and trained in Depth Psychology so we can tackle these issues from multiple directions with a host of evidence-based and effective tools.
I'm licensed in Utah and my office is located in Sandy, Utah. I offer both in-person and virtual sessions to both individuals and couples in Utah.
